Pockets that stay put whatever the scales say

Some fat is stubbornly resistant to diet and exercise — the flanks, the lower abdomen, the inner thigh, the area under the chin. Where you store it is inherited, and losing weight overall does not redistribute it.

Body contouring reduces fat in a specific area without surgery. Injectable treatment dissolves smaller, well-defined pockets. Where the issue is overall weight rather than a localised pocket, a medically supervised programme is the honest answer instead.

None of these is a weight-loss treatment, and we would rather say that at the start than at the end.
