Flat brown marks left by years of Florida sun
Live in Florida long enough and your skin keeps a record of it. Sun spots are clusters of pigment laid down by ultraviolet exposure, usually on the face, chest, shoulders and backs of the hands — the places that never get covered up.
They respond to light and to resurfacing: treatments that either break the pigment up or take away the surface layer holding it. Which one suits you depends on your skin tone and how deep the pigment sits, and that is a consultation question rather than a menu one.
Any new, changing or irregular mark should be looked at by a dermatologist before it is treated cosmetically.
